Refuge Alerter

Refuge Alerter is a two-way radio-based voice communication system that will alert building management to a refuge area when activated by a disabled person. The disabled person can then speak to the building management. Once building management responds a 'call answered' light is lit on the refuge out station and voice communication can commence.

Traditionally Emergency voice communication systems have been hard wired from each refuge area back to a central master station however Refuge Alerter uses encrypted, monitored radio signals which allows us to overcome all of the problems normally associated with wired systems.

By using radio communication it is possible for fire wardens to answer calls and communicate with refuge areas either from the master station or from a portable, hand-held communicator.

The portable refuge communicator can also work with existing on-site, 2-way radio systems such as those used by fire wardens, building security and estates personnel both inside and outside the building.
