BOURNEMOUTH COUNCIL PROMOTES SAFE EGRESS WITH INSTALLATION OF REFUGE ALERTER®

Bournemouth Borough Council has recently installed 19 Refuge Alerter® outstations in their Town Hall Building. Originally built as a hotel for people visiting the area in Victorian times the building is steeped in history.

As Refuge Alerter® is a wireless system this has meant minimal disruption to the building’s infrastructure during installation. The council are also making use of the additional features of the system including the added flexibility of the portable refuge communicator allowing communications between the refuge area and the rescue team whilst on the move.

Joanne Kusinski Marketing Manager of Refuge Alerter® commented, “We presented our CPD accredited seminar Fire evacuation communication for disabled people: the law and solutions to various people within the Council where we were able to offer an unbiased insight into the complex legislation and solutions available. Following this we were able to evaluate the requirements for the Town Hall building and offer Refuge Alerter® as a solution.”
