ALERT AND EVAC+CHAIR NOW MADE EVEN EASIER WITH THE HELP OF DEAF ALERTER PLC

Deaf Alerter plc, providers of radio-based emergency communication systems for disabled people, is pleased to announce they are teaming up with the market leading emergency evacuation chair provider.  The collaboration means Deaf Alerter plc will be able to offer the complete evacuation package, providing the safest egress for disabled people!

Evac+Chair International Ltd is the market leader of award winning solutions for stairway desent in emergency situations and has been providing the chair for emergency escape solutions since 1982.

Deaf Alerter plc strongly believe the three chair models offered by Evac+Chair will complement its Refuge Alerter RA 1000, which is a two-way voice communication system, installed in designated disabled refuge areas and used in the event of a fire or emergency.

Building Managers have a duty of care to provide everyone in the building with a safe means of escape. With varying levels of mobility, some people will not be able to use the building's emergency staircase. Therefore a refuge (temporary waiting area) is recommended under British Standard 9999, 8300 and Building Regulations Part B.  Further to this, Part B states that all new buildings must have a two-way emergency voice communication to facilitate effective evacuation.

Deaf Alerter plc's Sales Manager, Chris Haseldine commented: “the products complement each other so well it makes sense to offer this combined solution.  Refuge Alerter lets you know you have someone who is physically dependent waiting to be evacuated and the Evac+Chair is the indispensible solution that provides you with the safe means to evacuate the person in need of assistance.”

Paul Colder, Head of Marketing of Evac+Chair said: “being able to offer the complete package for safe emergency evacuation will inevitably benefit Deaf Alerter’s plc's customers.  They will be able to install and train in the operation of both products at the same time.  This training will help to improve fire marshals response time and the ability to evacuate safely and effectively in a real emergency; a competency every company should be aiming to achieve.”

Chris Haseldine went on to say: “We are looking forward to increasing our product portfolio and enhancing the service we offer our customers.   Working with such a well known product as Evac+Chair is also a great opportunity for us.  The reputation of Evac+Chair precedes them and we embrace the prospect of increased sales.”
